Camera & Lens.
FujiFilm xt-30 with 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens.
I've always loved the ergonomics of Fuji cameras and their image quality. When I bought the XT-30 I wanted something that was small and light weight with great image quality. The Xt-30 fitted the bill nicely. I initially bought the 16-50mm kit lens which was surprisingly good, but recently upgraded to the 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 lens, to allow a little more light mainly for indoor video.
I've had the camera for a couple of years now and to be honest, other than "gear envy" I have no real reason to change. It has served me well and I'm very happy with the image quality I get from the camera. I love the shutter speed dial on the top of the camera it has come in very useful on a few occasions when something happens that I need to quickly adjust the shutter speed, the dial is just there, no diving into menu's!
I use a few accessories with the camera including ND filters for controlling shutter speed, and a variable ND filter for Video.
I have a couple of tripods, a lightweight K&F concept for travel and a bigger heavier manfrotto for pics I can take from the car/Motorhome.
My Drone
DJI Mini 3 Pro Fly More Combo
The mini 3 pro is my 2nd drone, after initially owning and loving a mini 2, I decided to upgrade when the 3 pro came out. I've gone with the mini series for a couple of reasons.
Firstly was cost, it is a lot less expensive than the Mavic series and for my 1st drones it made more sense to buy something lower priced in case I found I didn't use it as much as I could.
the second reason was drone laws in the uk, the mini2 being less than 250g is a lot less controlled by red tape than its bigger brothers, the smaller lighter drone can be flown in a lot more places with less hassle than bigger drones.
I've really enjoyed owning the mini2 and mini3 Pro and have managed to get some great video footage and photos with it (check out my videos page for links to videos, or my Ariel photography page).
Full disclosure, I have crashed the mini2 (once) Into the side of a mountain! My fault entirely, I lost line of sight, got my control sticks mixed up and bang! Fortunately the only damage was a couple of broken propellors.
